popping up all over (not to mention the already-

going through your closet, Personal Shopping; or

NEW PRIVATE "PLAYSHOPS" PROGRAM!
(They're too much FUN to be called
"WORKshops")
Closet Coach "PlayShops" continue to grow
in
popularity, yet the busy calendars of women in
the San Francisco Bay Area have made scheduling
MORE than a challenge. To accommodate
everyone wishing to attend a PlayShop, here's the
new plan . . .
"PlayShops" will now be held upon request
for groups of 5-10 friends and/or family members
wishing to have a festive outing while learning tricks
on saving and refreshing their wardrobes for less.
Two North Bay Consignment Shops (featured on
THE
ALTERNATIVE SHOPPING MALL) - ENCORE
(in
San Rafael, CA) and VICKI'S SECRET (in
Petaluma, CA) will begin by opening their doors to
host these fab PRIVATE PLAYSHOPS for
groups who have
signed up at least five women, scheduled and
registered through Sue.
Within this festive atmosphere, Sue demystifies the
fine art of "Strategic Shopping." Next, the group
receives special attention from Sue and one of the
gracious Shop Owners to help you build fantastic
outfits for less. These amazing extended
closets make it possible to try your hand at creating
stylish outfits (and even finding goodies to add
to "tired" wardrobes)! Walk out with new
treasures and greater knowledge in putting together
great outfits.
Either weekday after-hour (light
refreshments) "PlayShops" from 6:30 -
8:30 pm, or Sunday 10 am - noon (light
brunch) "PlayShops"
can be arranged. Make it a party to celebrate
someone special - or one another! Everyone can
bring an item from their closet that doesn't seem to
work with anything - and walk out with a glorious
outfit!

After discovering SOPHISTICATED LADY
recently in
Oakland, I realized there were so many unexpected
treasures to be discovered there that I simply
couldn't leave the shop without purchasing a few
new goodies for my spring wardrobe. Considering
how many Alternative Shops my business
brings me to, I generally temper adding to my already
substantial collection. I walked out with three
purchases totaling $90 - a testament to the quality
of her inventory and great prices, My prizes were: a
sweet mid-weight light-linen grey jacket with
embroidered cats, a lavender Asian-style rayon over-
blouse and a well-tailored, lightweight wool short
business jacket by Ellen Tracey. Walking into this
bright, open and well-appointed shop made me feel
instantly comfortable. I was quickly engaged
browsing through the well-spaced racks and display
areas.
